Homeschooling resources
If you are interested in homeschooling should a disaster/pandemic happen and the need for routine in continuing the children's education, I believe, it a wise thought. Children need a continued routine during a crisis, as much as one can be established. My thoughts, is that it doesn't need to be extensive. Trying to understand high school material nowdays is a mind bender. I homeschooled my oldest daughter (19) for the first 4 years, and my youngest daughter (9) for the first 2 years. It's challenging for the parent to keep both yourself and your child focused and interested. So, for what's it's worth, might I suggest keeping homeschooling during a time of crisis, to be used as a form of routine, keeping the lessons light and fun. You are only doing this until life as we know it, returns to some normacy. It might also help to have the children write about what is going on around them.
If the internet is still up, I would suggest using ebooks/ereaders. These studies can be immediately downloaded and will save lots of time lining up paper, pen, ect. Here are some suggestions for eStudies:

The resources emphasize understanding of concepts instead of mechanical memorization of rules.

Among the regular courses, I like this site because they encourage children to write.
