About FNN and cottontop

About 10 years I saw a blip on the tv about a virus called "bird flu" over in China that was killing chickens by the thousands. I was curious because that was the first I've ever heard of it and it raised my radar. I researched it and did not like what I read. I found this forum, "Flu Wiki," that was started by a Dr., DemfromCT aka Greg Dworkin, that was aimed at educating the public about bird flu aka H5N1 and emergency preparedness. They were the only ones around at the time and my cup of tea. It wasn't long before more people were wanting to find out more about H5N1 and our little fourm of Flu Wiki was getting too small and congested. I can still remember  posting and doing a load of clothes and would finally be posted when I got back! LOL

Two years later (there abouts) Dem presented us with a brand new Flu Wiki. So we pack up and moved, into our new diggs. We've grown so much over the years, in knowledge and in members. We are very proud of our fourm and maintain a tight ship and strict posting policies. But we have fun too. There is a group of us that have been there from the very begining of Flu Wiki and we have become very good friends. Not only have I learned so much about viruses, and tracked them, watched them evolve, learn the politics of disease (yes, there is politics in everything!) but I have gotten 4 very good friends out of all of this and I feel blessed to have them in my life.

Out of my desire to help and to persue my own personal prepping, Flu News Network came into existance as a wordpress blog. It did very well for the time it spent on wordpress but increasingly, I want to expand FNN, so I developed the website. I'm proud of FNN. It's a labor of love, not ment to be perfect, and ment to always be a work in progress because the news and prepping always is.  Feel free to contact me with any question or comment.
